I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chad Anderson at Mountain Eye Institute in Cedar City, Utah, since I was two years old, and I can’t recommend him enough. As a child, I was terrified of doctors and eye exams, but Dr. Anderson made the experience comfortable and positive. Unlike my previous eye doctor, who suggested general anesthesia, Dr. Anderson worked with me patiently and even tried the exam without sedation, which made a huge difference. Throughout the years, he continued to go above and beyond to help me feel at ease. He would take off his lab coat to make me more comfortable and even check the eyes of my dolls or stuffed animals during exams to help me feel less scared. When I had my eyes dilated, he let me sit on my mom’s lap for extra comfort. These small gestures meant the world to me and made a huge impact on my trust in him. Now, as an adult, I still trust Dr. Anderson for all my eye care needs. His team at Mountain Eye Institute provides excellent, compassionate service, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch eye care.

My first impression of the staff was that everyone I encountered was totally qualified for the position held, and the staff and Dr. Duncan continued to present with outstanding competence as time progressed. Dr. Duncan not only corrected my vision through cataract surgery, which was uneventful, he also successfully treated two separate and severe eye inflammatory processes, which were problematic prior to surgery.. Should I need attention in the future, I'll call Mountain Eye Institute!

I have had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Anderson, Dr. Duncan and Dr. Christian. They are all very professional and caring. My cataract surgery was heaven sent. I went from wearing contacts and very bad vision to almost 20/20 without glasses. I trust my vision to them all. And the staff is great.

My husband got something stuck in his eye from not wearing sufficient eye protection at work. We called the office before opening hours, and we were able to get him in for a quick visit. They cleaned it out and helped him feel better in no time.

The procedure was drastically better than what my father experienced some 50 years ago. Every step of the procedure was explained to me before and afterwards. 20 minutes or so later, I was out the door and on my way home. Yes ... modern medicine has made significant advances.

Randi UtterJune 2, 2022My son has been to Mountain Eye Institute twice, both times being an emergency appointment. The first time Dr. Anderson was over in Kanab and my son got something in his eye. The staff worked us right in that day. Dr. Anderson was great. Then again today he got something else in his eye. I called them a little before 5, the receptionist was amazing, she got us in touch with the on-call Dr and my son drove from Kanab to Cedar and Dr. Duncan came in and seen him and got the foreign body out of his eye. I would for sure recommend to anyone. Thank you for being there when we needed you.

They both took time to explain and answer questions about my eyes and what to expect in the future. I have had many eye Doctors in different cities and never had as good an experience as with Mountain Eye Institute.

I was so impressed by the waiting room, staff, and Dr. Duncan. They were all very kind and the tests I was given where much more thorough then I had ever had with Kaiser Hospital in California. Dr. Duncan was extremely helpful in helping me decide on a cataract proceeded that could help my double vision which after years of going to Kaiser no one ever suggested the surgery. I am greatly impressed with the Mountain Eye Institute that my wife made an appointment also. I even her from my ex-wife about how she was also impressed by the eye institute for her surgery too. Wonderful place, staff, and doctors...So glad I found them.

From the beginning to the end the staff, nurses, Anesthesiologist and Dr. Clinton Duncan were friendly and helpful in this surgical journey. Dr Duncan explained in great detail everything about the process and took time to answer all my questions. As unnerving for me to have this surgery they all gave me peace of mind and I felt reassured all would turn out well. With both eyes now done and in the process of healing, I can say that Dr. Clinton Duncan and all who work for him were GREAT 👍🤗.
