Following completion of his medical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona he did his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Faber completed a combined fellowship at the Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, Tennessee specializing in Vitreoretinal Surgery and in Ocular Oncology at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Faber obtained his board certification and began practice in Salt Lake City at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants. Dr. Faber is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and a member of both the Utah Medical Association and the Utah Ophthalmology Society. He has extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of ocular tumors. He has also been involved in various research projects including the study of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration and has published several articles in medical and scientific journals. Dr. Faber has participated in numerous presentations and lectures to other healthcare professionals regarding the treatment of retinal diseases and is actively involved in the robust clinical research endeavors ongoing at Rocky Mountain Retina Consultants.
